The Biggest Winner Challenge (Final Results)
- on October 20, 2010
After 13 weeks, the challenge has concluded. All of the commitment and dedication has yielded an increase in fitness, energy, athletic performance, and a combined weight loss of 64 pounds!!
Kjrsten Abel lost 15 pounds, and her push-ups increased from 12reps to 40! She battled through some aches and pains, and had the highest level of attendance throughout the program. She would occasionally miss a Saturday workout in order to run a 5K, Adventure Race, or coach/compete in the Women's Div. II Rugby Regionals in Colorado. She also experienced an increase in her performance on the rugby field, attributing it solely to the program.
Gene Nutt was unable to complete a full pull-up before the program started, and now he is capable of 6 legitimate pull-ups with perfect form! And his post-exercise heart rate has decreased dramatically; a sign of much improved physical fitness. He was very dedicated to the workouts, and confessed that eating right was the hardest challenge for him. He enjoyed the smaller group, and said that without the accountability of the program he would not have been able to stick with it.
Sutagee Anglin lost an amazing 31 pounds. His ability to perform the assessment exercises not only increased in number, but his form improved tremendously! He admited, "although I didn't achieve the miracle results I'd hoped for, I still feel like I've had a pretty great transformation". At an average of 2 pounds lost per week, Sutagee experienced significant and healthy weight loss.
I am very pleased with the results achieved by the participants, and am very proud of the focus and dedication they brought to the table. Although they decided after the first month to split the cash prize, I still feel like I should name the "Biggest Winner". And after comparing the fitness assessments, physical transformations, and the quality of life improvements the judges and I have decided that...................... Kjrsten Abel is this session's Biggest Winner!!! Congratulations to Kjrsten, and to all of the challengers. You've all done an amazing job, and I look forward to continually helping you as you set and achieve future health goals! =)
