Taking care of the caregiver

One of the most important things that a caregiver does for their loved one is to take care of themselves. This is also the most difficult. As this article from www.thirdage.com states, one in three caregivers who care for a loved one diagnosed with Alzheimer's or dementia will actually die before their patient, simply because they have not taken the respite time for themselves. We hope in some little way that we can help you as a caregiver take care of yourself, through sharing information, offering resources that can help you in your caregiving efforts, or simply just be here to talk when you need us.
