Watch National Bereavement Teleconference

Community members are invited to attend the 2010 National Bereavement Teleconference on Wednesday, March 24, at the Community Health Building, 200 Maine Street. "Living with Grief: Cancer & End-of-Life Care" will air from 12:30-3 p.m., followed by a 30-minute local discussion.

The program will address care options related to cancer diagnoses as well as loss and grief reactions for patients, families and professional caregivers. Other topics include psychosocial aspects of cancer, pain management and ethical issues related to the disease.

The program is sponsored by Douglas County Visiting Nurses, Rehabilitation and Hospice, and the Lawrence Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Team. It is free for the community. If professional attendees want continuing education credit, there is a $25 fee.
