Douglas County Dental Clinic Now Accepts Donations In Dogecoin, Bitcoin, And Litecoin

Keeping up with advances in online fundraising, the Douglas County Dental Clinic is proud to announce that it now accepts donations in various cryptocurrencies on its website including Dogecoin, Bitcoin, and Litecoin!

The local nonprofit dental clinic began taking Bitcoin donations over a year ago in a trial run, and the decision was made to resume accepting donations in cryptocurrencies when a new Giving page was added to the clinic's website last week. The cryptocurrency donations are exchanged for U.S. dollars to help the clinic continue its mission of providing quality, affordable dental care to low-income, uninsured individuals of Douglas County.

The dental clinic is also very happy to announce that they are the first charity to partner up with the Dogecoin Foundation. The Dogecoin Foundation is a nonprofit organization created by the founders of Dogecoin for the purpose of spreading the use of the currency through goodwill and charitable endeavors. The clinic has received around $80 worth of donations (at the most current exchange rate) from the Dogecoin community since going live with the Giving page on Friday January 10, 2014!
