The best time to start an exercise program is....

I have talked with many women who have begun showing signs of bone loss due to osteoporosis. They are always worried that if they begin an exercise program, they might risk breaking a bone due to the bone loss. We have a new program here at the Senior Center, in collaboration with Lawrence Parks and Recreation called Rusty Joints. It is a fun, very beneficial exercise program that you might want to consider.
This article from the Mayo Clinic offers information and states the benefits of beginning an exercise program. There are some good guidelines to follow, and if you aren't sure how healthy your bones are, don't forget to consult your doctor before beginning!

This class will help strengthen your heart and lungs helping your heart pump blood better and your lungs breathing with ease. This class is fun featuring special movements for your legs and upper body! Cardio chair/standing boxing is a great way to a healthy heart and body!

These classes look great! Both classes offer the health benefits of building muscles and strengthening heart/lungs while having fun. Thank you for offering these classes to keep in shape this Fall!
