Awesome! Great to see a health-focused organization taking active (and free) steps to help people help themselves eat healthy.

The vegetables come from the Garden to Table project. The Health Department receives the vegetables and then we get the left over vegetables at the end of the day!

The Growing Food Growing Health school garden project, that operates at West Middle School, Hillcrest and Sunset Hill, is donating produce left over from the farmer's market they hold each Thursday afternoon in the Community Health Building.
If I'm right, it is all organic and grown by students.
If you can afford to pay for veggies, I know this farmers market would appreciate your business. They are open 4:30-6:00 at 200 Maine--the building that houses the Health Dept., Bert Nash, and Visiting Nurses.
