The healthiest choice for those who are patronized and mistreated in Lawrence due to perceived physical limitations is to move back to civilization. Offensive street harassment here is a huge problem that ruins quality of life. People here have been trained up en masse to mob and molest complete strangers in public, and they are beyond messianic in their presumption that "ignorance is strength" and that they deserve gratitude for intrusive, busybody attitudes.
Only for those brainwashed by offensive southern mores could a course offered through KU offer anything useful on this topic. KU is a hot spot of offensive discrimination and incompetent, conflict-of- interest investigators who brutalize victims through with cruel lies and false accusations. Please learn to treat everyone the same and stop making patronizing judgments about how hard life is for anyone with a perceived limitation. The general uneducated public in KS does not even realize that a disability has to substantially limit a major life function. It's not just a matter of injuring yourself and needing crutches. They have no freaking business assuming they are on any way qualified to provide "accommodations" to strangers either. How dare they be so disrespectful and intrusive? Aggressive yokels! Then those punitive incompetents over in the KU HR are clueless about the law too.
