Just Food, the food bank in Douglas County is partnering with the Douglas County Holiday Bureau to ensure that all Douglas County families have access to a meal at Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Just Food will be taking applications for Thanksgiving baskets through Thursday, November 10, 2011. Residents will need to meet the qualifications for Just Food's food pantry, and provide proof of Douglas County residence upon picking up their basket. Just Food plans to provide 300 baskets for Thanksgiving. When 300 has been reached, Just Food will make a waiting list. Distribution for Thanksgiving baskets will take place on the following dates:
Monday, November 21, 2011 1:00-7:00 p.m.
Tuesday, November 22, 2011 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., 1-6:00 p.m.
Wednesday, November 23, 2011 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., 2:00-8:00 p.m.
If individuals who are on the list to receive a Thanksgiving basket are unable to pick it up by November 23 at noon, those on the waiting list who signed up first will be contacted to pick up their basket when Just Food reopens at 2:00 p.m.

Thursday, December 22, 2011 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., 1-8:00 p.m.
Friday, December 23, 2011 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., 2-8:00 p.m.
