Can someone PLEASE start spell and grammar checking at LJ World? My God, people. It's painful to read these articles sometimes. My seventh graders write better.

Good morning helloannie. My first thought after reading your comment was to just delete the posting (and thus your comment with it) to save myself some humiliation and embarrassment. But I thought about the purpose of WellCommons - and that is to give the community a voice about important things happening around us. It’s a place where we as citizens can respectfully dialogue about health, wellness, kids, aging and countless other things without fear of being ridiculed. I don’t want anyone else to be afraid of posting for fear that they will get torn apart by people making comments. That’s not what this is about. I’m leaving my sloppily written piece posted and I apologize for whatever grammar and spelling errors that are in the original post and this comment. I am merely a volunteer that wants to help get some information out about a local organization doing some great things in our community.
I for one would love to hear what your seventh graders have to say. How about a writing project where they post about topics important to them that would be relevant in WellCommons? I would think that there could be a ton of significant lessons and great dialogue to be had with them about kindness, proper writing techniques, technology and journalism.

Yay Cindy! I am so glad that you did NOT remove the post. This information is so valuable to our community. I not only learned about the event, but the wonderful things that the Kiwanis club is doing to help our youth. Kudos to you!

Agreed Cindy and Karrey. As a Kiwanis member, I will be there tomorrow:)
It would be a great opportunity for students to do a writing project and learn about community organizations through wellcommons, great idea!
