There will be a red carpet theme for Lawrence's annual "Daddy/Daughter Date Night."
The event, which is hosted by Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department, will be from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, March 3, in Building 21 at the Douglas County Fairgrounds, 2110 Harper St.
The cost is $37 for dad and one daughter. Cost for additional daughters to attend is $18. The price includes dinner, beverages, photo, a flower, and dancing. A DJ will provide music throughout the evening.
Dads and daughters are encouraged to dress to mirror the theme.
The deadline to register is Feb. 23.

Hate to be the kill-joy here, but personally I find something very creepy about a "dad-daughter date night".
