Library to host anti-bullying event

Kansas University psychology professor Robert G. Harrington will lead a workshop about school-based bullying Monday at the Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vt.

The purpose of the workshop is to help parents understand what bullying is, how it develops, how it can be prevented and what interventions work best. Special emphasis will be placed on the role of parents, whether they have a student who is the victim of bullying, a bully or a bystander.

Parents of K-12 students and school staff are invited to attend. The event is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
