5th Annual Kids Summer Fun Fair

The Lawrence Kids Calendar and more than 30 area organizations invite families to attend the 5th Annual Kids Summer Fun Fair from 10am-2pm on April 11th at the Crown Automotive Expo Building. Part carnival and part info fair, families can expect games and hands-on activities, performances and demonstrations, and will be able to interact directly with the people who offer kids programs and services year round. In fact, the Kids Summer Fun Fair is a unique opportunity to see, all in one place, the creativity and enthusiasm Lawrence has for kids and families.

Parents can gather the information they need about summer classes, programs and camps while their kids explore the best of what Lawrence has to offer for summer fun. They can even register their kids for summer programs at the event!

Some of the organizations participating are: Lawrence Arts Center, Theatre Lawrence, Dads of Douglas County, Lawrence Parks and Recreation, Painted Kanvas, KU Athletics and Meadowlark Music Together.

Each hour there will be a performance or demonstration from our participating organizations including Pointe A Dancers, Prime Martial Arts and Premier Martial Arts.

Hy-Vee will also be at the Fun Fair recognizing all of the kids who participated in their One Mile at a Time program this year. Kids will be able to stop by their exhibit and pick up their completion prize.

Entry into the Fair is free and open to the public. The Fair activities are designed for kids from toddler/preschool age through high school. In addition to kids activities and exhibits, families receive a “Lawrence Summer Fun” tote bag (while supplies last) and can be entered into a free raffle drawing for prizes donated by the participating organizations.
