Questions about KanCare? Hotline, daily conference calls available
- on December 28, 2012
On Jan. 1, all Kansans with Medicaid health coverage will be part of the new KanCare system. If you have questions or concerns about the new system, call the KanCare Consumer Assistance Line at 1-866-305-5147.
Beginning Jan. 2, the state will host a daily teleconference call at 9 a.m. to talk about KanCare, answer questions and listen to concerns. Anyone can join the conversation by calling 1-877-247-8650 and when asked for a passcode enter 79687456. These calls will take place weekdays — Monday through Friday.
State officials are committed to ensuring those with Medicaid coverage have access to the services they need.
“Serving the needs of the whole person as well as ensuring long term fiscal sustainability for the state are the principles this plan is built upon. KanCare will improve coordination of care and services to achieve better outcomes and long-term savings without reducing benefits or eligibility, while safeguarding reimbursement for providers.”
— Lt. Gov. Jeff Colyer
