A breastfeeding support group — Breast Is Best Social or B.I.B.S. — meets at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays in the Lawrence-Douglas County Health Department’s clinic, 200 Maine.
This week (Feb. 6), the support group will be hosting its first “mini-session” and the topic is “Babywearing.” Moms are encouraged to bring their carriers and slings to the meeting and learn new ways to use them or share their own ideas. Many families use them well beyond the infant stage.
The support group is open to pregnant and breastfeeding moms in Douglas County.
