Breastfeeding support group to host 'Clothes Swap' Nov. 20

The Douglas County breastfeeding support group — B.I.B.S. — will host a clothes swap at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, at the Lawrence-Douglas County Health Department, 200 Maine St.

The group plans to swap maternity, infant and toddler clothes and items such as slings and toys.

Elizabeth Sedita-Laufer, breastfeeding peer counselor, said attendees do not need to bring items to take items. “It’s a great way to give away items that you no longer need and to find something new.”

B.I.B.S, or Breast Is Best Social, is open to anyone who is pregnant and considering breastfeeding or is breastfeeding. The group meets at 6:30 p.m. every Wednesday. Moms are welcome to come once, a few times or every week. We also encourage them to bring friends and family members if they like.
