Help Women Build while you shop for your sweetie

RED ALERT! Valentine's Day is Thursday, everyone! Did you forget? Are you a procrastinator?

Not to fear -- Women Build is here!

According to the National Retail Federation's annual Valentine's Day spending survey, Americans celebrating the day of love are planning to spend over $18 billion dollars this year. Average spending is expected to be up a few bucks this year and the average person will spend about $131 total on gifts for the ones they hold dear.

What does that have to do with Women Build, you ask?

Well, on Wednesday - that's tomorrow! - 10% of sales between 6-8 p.m. at Prairie Patches in downtown Lawrence will go toward the 2013 Women Build house! Not sure what to get your significant other? Personal shopper will be there to help!

Enjoy adult beverages, snacks and FREE gift wrapping. If you make a donation to Women Build, you'll get a free rose in a vase! A bonus for you Valentine!

Men are set to spend an average of $108 on their significant other, so why not have a portion of that go toward building a home for a Lawrence family? You can learn about the long-time Lawrence resident that will be living in the 2013 Women Build home here.
