Recently I ran across the Healthy Dining Finder website. This website provides dietitian approved menu items from 60,000 restaurants. It was developed with restaurant partners including the National Restaurant Association. I was surprised how with a few requests you can make some unexpected fast food choices a good optioin.
The link I included is for restaurants in the Lawrence area. I appreciate the Sodium Savvy points given for entrees that have 750 mg of sodium or less or appetizers/sides/desserts with 250 mg of sodium or less. Recommended menu items include nutrition information and tips to reduce sodium and fat content. Suggestions for side dishes are also provided. They have tips for healthy dining and blogs with recipes and other information.
