Mark your calendar for the free Lawrence Community Bike Ride on July 21 at the Rotary Arboretum (by the YSC soccer fields).
It offers fun for all ages and abilities, with three rides to choose from--a one mile easy loop, a three mile family ride, and a ten mile ride. Helmets are required to participate (there will be some available).
The 10 mile ride starts at 8:00 am, and the 3 miler starts at 9:00 a.m. The one mile loop is available all morning.
The event also features a Training Wheel Takeoff area and a safety zone where organizers will fit bike helmets and other gear.
The Lawrence Central Rotary Club is organizing the ride for the second year with the help of many community sponsors, including LiveWell Lawrence.
All riders will get a really cool, free t-shirt (while supplies last) and a bunch of other freebies.
This is a great noncompetitive, intergenerational ride that has a fun community vibe. Check it out!

I did this last year with a group of friends, and we all LOVED it.
And the t-shirts are indeed "really cool." Whenever I wear mine, I get asked where I got it.
