Lawrence Farm to School leaders visit Denver

Leaders involved with the Lawrence Public School District’s Farm to School program recently visited several school gardens and cafeterias in Denver to see what is working well at other schools and to get ideas that potentially could be implemented locally.

Those who attended included Paula Murrish, director of food service and purchasing; Lindsey Morgan, food service supervisor and a registered dietitian; Denise Johnson, health and wellness curriculum coordinator; and Crystal Hammerschmidt, Farm to School coordinator.
