Represent Douglas County in National Bike Challenge
- on April 28, 2016
You can represent Douglas County in the National Bike Challenge! The Challenge is a logging center for you to record the miles you ride while competing with other riders all over the country.
With competition possibilities on the local, state and national level, it is a free and easy way to challenge yourself, colleagues and the greater community to ride more. The Challenge aims to unite 100,000 riders to pedal 75 million miles from May 1 until Sept. 30.
Locally, the Challenge is being hosted by LiveWell Lawrence, in partnership with the City of Lawrence, Lawrence-Douglas County Health Department and Lawrence-Douglas County Metropolitan Planning Organization. Get motivated to ride to work, the grocery store or even with your family around the neighborhood. Earn 20 points every day you ride at least one mile. No ride is too short!
