Kansas Half Marathon race raises record amount

Health Care Access has announced that the Kansas Half Marathon was able to raise a net amount of $66,382.50 for the clinic making this the most successful race in its entire history. The benefit event took place on Sunday, November 1st of 2015. Next year's event is scheduled for Sunday, November 6th - 2016.

The beneficiary, Health Care Access, can provide an entire year’s worth of services for $450.00 per patient. They accomplish this through partnerships, community donations, volunteers, and event proceeds. The 2015 proceeds will directly help 150 friends & neighbors for an entire year. The clinic wishes to thank the many dedicated and inspiring volunteers, runners and sponsors. They'd also like to thank the City of Lawrence Public Works Department, Fire Department, and the Police Department. Their work throughout the year and donated services day of were invaluable to the race and to the safety of its runners.
