About Heartland Community Health Center

HCHC provides low-cost health care with integrated mental and behavioral health services to uninsured and poorly insured community members. HCHC offers a Kansas safety net primary care clinic, counseling, free wellness programs, a food pantry and a financial benevolence program.

Kansas does not require children to wear helmets, but Lawrence has passed an ordinance requiring children, ages 16 and under, to wear a helmet, but doesn't enforce penalties.
