Last Tuesday, The Salvation Army and Target joined together to provide 15 local school children with a back-to-school shopping spree. Each child received an $80 Target GiftCard to shop for their back -to-school needs. The children had a Savation Army volunteer chaperone assist them in picking out their items and making sure that they got the proper sizes.
The kids had a great time shopping and the chaperones may have had an even better time helping them and watching the joy on the children's faces as they shopped. Thanks to Target and their staff for all of their help and for so generously providing this shopping spree to these students in our community.
Target and The Salvation Army provided a similar shopping experience to 12,000 students nationwide.
