Why Do My Feet Hurt?

Your feet are made to last a lifetime, which is why maintaining proper foot care is so important for overall health and well-being. Your feet bear the most weight as they are the foundation for most functional activities, such as walking, running, jumping and daily tasks. As we age, many individuals may feel that pain in their feet is normal due to stresses placed on the feet. However, pain occurring in the feet is not normal and should be treated accordingly. If appropriate steps are taken to detect, treat, and care for your feet, most foot related problems can be decreased or prevented. If you experience pain in your feet, be sure to seek help through your physician, podiatrist, physical therapist, or other healthcare professional. Remember, foot pain is NOT normal.
