We made our first spring delivery to the West Cafeteria yesterday. The most enthusiastic and cooperative cafeteria staff in the world (I'm guessing) was thrilled to see over 9 pounds of picture perfect radishes, salad mix, and head lettuce.
We are excited at the pink-ish strawberries that will hopefully ripen before school gets out as well as our surplus of lettuce that will be sold at The Merc tomorrow! Come to your neighborhood co-op for your fresh produce grown by teenagers! What could be better?

How beautiful. I am sure those students felt wonderful about growing so much food. Audrey and family had salad that she grew yesterday and she could not have been prouder.

I am so thankful for this project .........what a wonderful opportunity for the students and staff at West to enjoy fresh produce grown just outside their "back door" ...I am looking forward to this project spreading like wildfire at every school in Lawrence....
