The city of Lawrence announced today that the following event has been canceled and will not be rescheduled:
Identity theft will be the topic of the "Coffee with the Experts" program this month, which is free and geared toward those 60 and older.
The program will be at 9:30 a.m. Aug. 8 at the Eldridge Hotel, 701 Mass. Ralph and Sunnie Planthold, independent associates with Legal Shield, will talk about the common myths of identity theft.

Hey everyone, don't fret. You can still get advice on identity theft and scams. Meet me tomorrow, in the park. Bring $20.00 and a copy of your drivers license. If I'm not there leave it under the trash can in the gazebo. We'll do this every week for the next...ah heck, we'll just keep on doing it cause I like you so much. I promise to enrich your life; a year or two from now you'll realize milkman taught you some valuable lessons.
