About Chris

I am the Director of Community Health at the Lawrence-Douglas County Health Department. I've previously worked in the for-profit, non-profit and governmental sectors, including 10 years as a Bureau Director at the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. While I've lived many places around the United States, Lawrence has been “home base” for much of my adult life. I moved back to Lawrence and Douglas County in the spring of 2012 after a hiatus in Boise, Idaho, for a few years directing a non-profit agency involved in a wide array of health and human services. This is my fourth time living in Lawrence (in total I've lived here well over two decades), and I am proud to be contributing to the health and well-being of Douglas County through my work at the health department.
