About
The Willow Domestic Violence Center and GaDuGi SafeCenter are developing a teen dating abuse prevention program. Our goal is to teach teens about teen dating abuse and to provide them with community resources.
Our ultimate goal is to develop long-term programming to be utilized within the high schools. As part of our program development, we are holding focus groups for both teens and educators in late January and February 2012 in order to create an open dialogue about healthy relationships. To realize this goal, we need your help in determining what topics should be addressed and what resources are needed.
The input you provide in a focus group will help us structure our program. It is important that we provide adolescents with knowledge about dating violence, healthy relationships, and community resources. Through this program, we aim to provide young people with the knowledge-base and skills to have healthy, fulfilling relationships, or to recognize if they are in an abusive situation.
