New caucus told of oral health success in SE Kansas

Love what Superintendent Smith and the Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas are doing for kids in SE Kansas. I had the opportunity of being in the same Dental Champions group as Brian, and I'm excited to see what the Galena school district is doing to help promote good oral health in their neck of the woods!

Are you not seeking care because you can't afford it?

For those seeking dental care, here are some resources for you:

Douglas County Dental Clinic - Lawrence, Kansas - 785-312-7770 - All services are on a sliding scale based on income. We can see those at 200% of federal poverty guidelines or below that live in Douglas County and do not have dental insurance. We accept Medicaid / HealthWave. Our costs are 25-50% lower than they might be at private practice.

Marian Clinic - Topeka, Kansas - 785-233-2800 - They work in a similar way to the Douglas County Dental Clinic but they can see residents of any county in Kansas.

UMKC School of Dentistry - Kansas City, Missouri - 816-235-2100 - The school of dentistry is a great resource because they offer services at a reduced rate and provide specialty services such as endodontics.

Kansas City Free Clinic - Kansas City, Missouri - 816-753-5144 - The Kansas City Free Clinic provides free general dentistry services. Please call them for more information or to setup an appointment.
